Progam Overview
Meadowlark Manor is a facility located in a residential neighborhood in Bend, Oregon. Meadowlark places both adjudicated and non-adjudicated females, ages 13 to 18, for an average stay of 1 year. Depending on the girl’s individual situation, a service plan is developed to meet her specific needs. Our mission is to develop self-awareness, integrity, and social responsibility through accountability.
Educational achievement is a priority at Meadowlark. All girls in the program attend Bend High School full-time and may receive up to 6 additional credits for completing the Meadowlark program. Meadowlark staff check in with the girls at school during lunch time and serve as a liaison between the program and Bend High School.
Meadowlark residents are required to attend different Groups dealing with issues such as drug and alcohol abuse, physical and sexual abuse, anger management, authority problems, academic under achievement, and social issues.
Meadowlark residents are very active in the community through school activities, recreational opportunities, and service projects.
Independent Living Services are provided to Meadowlark clients through an Independent Living Coordinator. This is generally emphasized after the first 90 days of placement.
Meadowlark staff is committed to providing an atmosphere of care and concern. Our program structure and guidelines provide a safe, consistent, and challenging environment that promotes personal growth. Our treatment program is geared to the special needs of young women and the development of skills needed to gain pro-social and personal values.
